is now available! Tallfellow Press recently acquired the rights to "Droodles"
from Penguin Putnam and will begin publishing an updated book on droodlism. Tallfellow
Press is owned by the friends and business partners of droodles creator, the late Roger
Price.
You can order your copy of this book through the
Droodles Homepage.
Send someone a greeting card! Now you can let
someone know you care... care enough to send a droodle. Choose from among different themes
such as Valentines, Birthdays, and Holidays.
Droodles from the Droodles Homepage appeared twice
in the Washington Post's KidsPost section last June and July. Unfortunately, it was only
available in their print version. The online version of Washington Post's KidsPost is at http://washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/kids
Ever wonder why the droodles have these pop-up
text boxes when you point at them? Do you also wonder why we describe the picture? Those
descriptors (or in computer jargon, "alt" text) are there for two reasons.
First, they provide some clues to the droodle. After all, the answer is not always the
obvious. Second, descriptors allow children with visual impairments a chance to
participate in the game.
Exploratorium continues to present our droodles in
an online exhibit
as part of a memory exercise. The actual memory exhibition at the Exploratorium in San
Francisco, California, ran from May 22, 1998 to January 10, 1999. The online exhibit will
still be available indefinitely. |
